Since acquiring my 3 pc TAMA Starclassic b/b last summer, that has been my kit of choice.
Before that I believe I used my Pearl Masters MCX most of the time.
It's your gig night. You have a big show planned. What do you take?
Me? I take my six piece Mapex, 14 inch hats, 15, 16, and 18 inch crashes, 20 inch ride, and occasionally a 10 inch splash. Depending on which group I'm playing with I have a cowbell also. I use Mapex and PDP cymbal stands, and Vater drumsticks. I have a gear bag I keep the cymbal stands and cowbell in. I have a Vater cymbal bag that holds all of my cymbals. Most importantly, I have a black and gold rug it all sits on.
Six Piece Mapex Saturn V, Five Piece DW Performance Series, NOS Slingerland Snares, Centent Ardor and Emperor Cymbals

I have two "A" Custom crashes (along with some old "A" Zildjians) and two Dark "K" crashes and a pair of "K" hats..................how do you like those K Customs ?
I've never hit one...............
Where do they fit in on thickness and sustain ?
Like the "A" Customs are they thin and fast to die ?
Gretsch USA & Zildjian(What Else Would I Ever Need ?)
As little as I can get away with.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
