Love it Scotty. Good stuff!
I just started playing around with this and figured I'd make a video. I may have opened a rabbit hole to start using other rudiments in uncommon subdivisions. or playing groups of 5, 7, or 8 as triplets etc.
Pretty sure these will all get me fired by the bands but it sure is a fun way to work on independence. And when you find the right combination of accents and drums it gets tasty.
Love it Scotty. Good stuff!
Thanks.. I played it a bit too fast and it could have been tighter. I find this fill sits better at slower speeds anyways. I'm really enjoying this stuff over the blastbeats and double kick though
You're a great player. Keep it up man!
Cool. I try to fit in those types of fills when I can.
Nice work for sure.
I also agree I think I like the feel/sound better slower.
Awesome work and thanks for sharing!
Hey this is something that I can actually understand and play. Thanks man.
Thanks for the comments guys.
I've been getting big into modulation, using rudiments in less common spots and will be making a bunch more videos. I started displacing paradiddles, then moving them in subdivisions, then displacing that etc. It's never ending what you can learn if you start treating it like math or use a grid system for every rudiment or grouping.
