    Default Whitney Drums

I thought my last post about these warranted a separate and more updated thread. Here's what I wrote about the Whitney drumkit:

Man, I went out to see a drummer friend of mine play about a month ago and I was intrigued by his Whitney nesting drums. I watched him pack up at the end of the night and he was talking about it as he was breaking it down. Just when I was thinking to myself, "Damn, this is almost taking longer!", he says to me, "Sometimes it seems like it takes a bit longer" or something like that, lol. Beautiful drums but not sure I'm sold on this 'nesting' thing.

So... wondering if anyone else has one of these kits or owned one at one time. What was your experience?

There was a review about Whitney drums here (around 2015) Was that when they first came out? : https://www.drumchat.com/showthread....hlight=whitney ....

    And another here: https://www.drumchat.com/showthread....hlight=whitney

I rock a Whitney kit and love it. I MacGuyver'd the hardware with a cannibalized electronic drum rack to fashion what I'm sure is the lightest 4-piece kit in California. I recently saw another local drummer playing a Whitney kit--the first I've seen since I bought mine about 8 years ago.

Portland drummer Kurt Deutscher rotates two Penguin kits and has the best info about Whitney drums posted on his web site. https://kurtdeutscher.com/whitney-drums/

That's what I noticed in your Throne Thread. I knew I'd seen them before but didn't lock in at the time.
