Thread: why does the pad have 2 sides?!

    Default why does the pad have 2 sides?!

    on which should i practice more? i have the 6 inch vic firth, i mainly practice on the black side because i tend to think lower rebound is better practice, but the noise is annoying.
    hmm just wanna see what you guys think, those of you who have a 2 sided pad that is

    I agree with your logic. The other side has more rebound like a marching type snare. I also use the black side mainly because it more closely emulates the feel of my snare and helps you develop the muscles you use to create your own rebound.
