Here are some pictures of my Ludwig kit that I picked up in December. I don't know very much about it other than ...mid 80's with keystone badges. I also have a mid 60's ludwig supraphonic snare drum and a mid 90's ludwig maple snare.

Are youtube links allowed on this site? Heres a cool video of Bobby Rondinelli playing a Ludwig Epic Modular kit, and as hes playing another guy breaks the kit in half and starts playing. Sounds pretty good, especially amazed at how good the 8" kicks sound.

Just got word my kit is shipping from Ludwig Thursday. (tomorrow)

My Classic Maple kit, with a Supraphonic snare, has arrived, only about four weeks since I placed my order. First impression--awesome. I'll post some pics when I get all my gear together in one place.

Hey all - I've been away for a while. Gonna put up a thread with some more info on this kit I just picked up... but I'll give you a preview in the Ludwig section.

1981 John Bonham style chrome-o-wood 4 pc. (I added the Supraphonic)
14x15, 16x16, 16x18, 16x24 !!!
I feel like a small child behind this thing. A small, HAPPY child!

The wrap is actual chrome over steel... not a plastic wrap. I would like to openly challenge someone to find a heavier drum set (drum for drum). OUCH... my lower back!

Axe, great looking kit. I'd love to hear your impressions of them. I've had a Ludwig Epic snare that I've been using as my main snare for about a year and I love it! If I hadn't gotten a total steal on the Yamaha Tour Customs I got, the Epic's were my next kit.

Congrats.

I love em! I just scored a 2nd 14x24 kick off of Ebay, since you cant buy em individually, Ive been watching that site like a hawk. Now all I need is to find an 8 and a 13......not even sure if they make an 8 in the Epics, but I know they make a 13.....until then, the Elements are doing nicely! I didnt get the new kick yet, but this is the setup Im using. I also switched back to the stock heads, the G2s were just a little too warm for me. You will not be dissapointed with this kit.
