ooh boy I have 4 rides, 13 crashes, 7 splashes, 4 chinas, and 5 and two halfs high hats. Not counting my sons hats, ride , and 2 crashes. And not counting the hats , ride, and two crashes on loan. Do I have a problem??

Proud to say i'm fortunate to have 22 cymbals of various makes models and sizes,,,,from the 1st zildjian hihats and ride to paiste(made for ludwig standard kits) as well as 404/602/802 snd others i cant really tell,,,,to the pawn shop finds of old zildjian band cymbals,A's/A customs and a slew of sabians...life is a pallette of colors,so as to play different stories to each and every story....."PLAY IT FORWARD BROTHERS AND SISTERS",,,,

I'm just getting back into drumming after a VERY long hiatus...sold my cymbals to help pay for my wife's wedding ring...don't ever do that! We're now divorced and I'm having to scrape, scrounge, and beg. BUT..I just bought an old Zildjian Scimitar 16" crash in a pawn shop for $25.00, and broke down and bought Paiste 14" PST 5 Medium hats, and a Paiste 20" PST 5 Medium Ride...and eating mac and cheese for dinner...but I'm back drumming!

When I was broke and starting off...actually I still do it sometimes, but I would look on ebay for cracked or broken cymbals, normally with only like a 1" crack on the outside edge, then I would cut it down, just past the crack and have a great cymbal, it is a very CHEAP and easy way to get great cymbals, if you like more info on this just PM me and I will give you a better idea of what I am sayin. Right now I have Paiste PST3 13" hats and a PST3 18"crash/ride. Just bought a couple of Sabian AAX's. A 16" and 17" dark crash. Im looking for one more crash for now and then Im gonna replace the hats and ride. Would love to have an old vintage 20" Zildjian ride. I use to have one that had a small crack in it. Great cymbal. Not sure on the hats yet but anything will be better than these Paiste's.
