Pick a member of drum chat and write a paragraph telling them how much you love them. You must use the following words:
  • tender
  • lingerie
  • desire
  • sensual
  • oatmeal
And here's the real challenge: You've got to keep it clean!
ill have a go then :P

Oh drummer,
you warm my heart like a bowl of warm oatmeal on a cold winters morning, such is my tender love. my desire for you burns for a longing of sensual satisfaction accompanied of course by lingerie.

there done it :P

man you guys are sick around here :P

My goodness children! Ya'll should be ashamed of yourself! Didn't your parents teach ya how to behave in public? A disgrace, the lot of'ya!

In all seriousness (seriousness, on this thread! Now THAT was a challenging word to put in a sentence) I had successfully avoided this thread until I was directed here by gonefishin. Thankfully, I've been on much starnger forums then this, so you haven't scared me away just yet.

So just for that....

Dear gonefishin,

My desire to throw chicken tenders and hot oatmeal in your general direction, for making me write this, is overwhelming. I believe it would be an invigorating, yet sensual experience to get payback.
However, being the good person I am, I will even keep your love of wearing lingerie a secret.

Since Gonefishin seems to be the guinea pig for this here it goes....

Dear Gonefishin,

I do believe it is tender how you love your drumset so. But please, the sensual look in your eyes as oatmeal runs down your chin while staring at her is a little off. Also, your desire to dress your drums in woman's lingerie is just a little creepy....

There we go.

Actually I have not started playing the drums yet. I am looking to get a starter set in the very near future. I have played guitar for several years now and it just does not hold my attention much any more. I don't want to drop the guitars all together But I just have a strong desire to beat the crap out of something

I have been reading posts for several days and figured it was time to chime in and say hello. As it is with all newbies, any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

I actually think I managed to pull it off without being too obvious! I sent it to Drum Chick or someone because they had a high rank.

Hi there,

I'm just having some trouble right now. I saw you have a lot of posts on DrumChat and I wondered if you could greatfully provide your wisdom.

So I was sitting down like six months ago stuffing my face full of porridge, that's oatmeal in America, when I got a call from my mate. He said that he was leaving his band and would I want to record on the new album. I was like oh hell yeah let me just learn the tunes. I've loved his band for the past year he's been in it and I've been kinda jelous of him, almost had a desire to be him at one stage!

It's pretty hard stuff, quite technical in some places but other parts have very hard grooves. You should look them up, they're on myspace/SensualFeelingFunkUK.com tell me what you think. It's like a funk group so the names of songs are pretty wierd, there's one called "Chocolate, Lingerie and Weed" which has this polyrhythmic hits section right in the middle of the second chorus, it's a bastard to pull off tightly with the whole band. But all that in mind, I've learnt them to the best of my abilities.

Now this is when it gets complicated... My girlfriend and I are going through a rough time right now and the bass player for this funk band, I've just noticed, is pretty nice looking. When we play live I get distracted when she dances in front of me. She has these tight baggy jeans and a really aggressive personality but I think inside she's really just a sweet and tender girl. The other day I made a stupid remark with very unsubtle undertones that I wanted to cheat on my girlfriend with her. So now things are akward kindof. But this band is good, I want to stay with them, what do I do?

Yours, Kyle.

At the local Guitar Center they have a SP 4pc set. It is about $400 including tax for everything I need to get started. Due to the recent economy I can not afford anything more at the moment. I know it will have no resale value but I am hoping to pass it down to my niece and nephew when I upgrade in the future.

I know that we can not post links to advertisers here but it is easy to find on GC's site or musicians friend.

Pillzee, I went with a ddrum D2 kit when I first started. I wanted to make sure I had a drummer in me before I commited to anything more. I have saved that kit for my son now, so I understand what you are doing.

Haha! Yeah, I didn't know what else to talk about? Thought I would make up some immaculate story, there's no other way to fit the words in when you only have half a paragraph!
