Hot dogs are often made out of a combination of beef and pork but, not the choice cuts. It's the meat that is left over from processing. The better "Dogs" like Ball Park dogs are beef. Nothing wrong with them at all. I used to eat them raw as a kid.

As a kid my mother always hollared at me not to eat them without cooking them first . Now that Im an adult , I eat them right out of the package and my mother cant say a word to me about it............

Any of you folks ever eaten scrapple , down south the closest thing to it is called liver mush . Little Roober sure wouldnt want to know what went in there......much worse than a hot dog....lol
