Default No more expensive moon gel for me.

I was browsing a dollar store today and saw these easter window gel stickers for $1.30 and instantly thought of moongel so I bought the last pack they had which was discounted 50% off since it was after easter so I only paid .65 cents LOL.

I put them on and I will be a son of a gun if they do not work just as well as my old $8 for 4 pieces of moongel that is now dirty and gross. Time will tell if they hold up but even if they only last half as long as moongel it is worth it. They seem to be about half the thickness of moon gel and they can easily be cut.

The easter theme is a little lame but still looks better than the moongel IMO and I am looking forward to getting some 4th of july, halloween, st paddy's day etc themed window gels in the future.

I will let ya know how they last and if they stain like the moon gels do.

Awesome. Adds character too. Nothing says 'tough' like a drummer with ducklings on his drums. Ha!

LOL will clash with a few biker tee shirts I wear on some gigs. I can't wait to see the double take expression on my bass players face...

Some last a couple years, some one year. They attract lint like crazy and do stain heads. Sometimes a white "miracle" eraser removes stains. Some are really thick and won't stick at all! But they are, as a rule, cheap.

haha omg to girlie for me. I couldn't play with little ducks on my toms..

And an FYI... you can wash moon gel with simple warm water and a dab of soap.

    That is crazy good!

On another note, I believe you can wash the MoonGels with dishwashing soap and water and they will come almost back to new. I'm going to try it if I ever get mine dirty.

Maybe you can find some Halloween skulls or something. I usually clean my moongel with soap & water....good as new!

It's a gel that sticks to the tom heads to help remove over tones and ringing.

What we really need are these gel things in the shape of lead-guitarists. Of course, then we'd probably have to change our heads more frequently due to punching holes in them.

If you trimmed the beaks off some of those ducks they will look like scary one eyed pirate ghosties - then they will be fine for genres like metal. Pity about the Sesame Street colour schemes.

They used to sell gel sticky "hands" in the 25 cent vending machines at one of my local grocery stores. 3 toms and a snare for a buck!
