    Default E-Drum Question

I just recently purchased a Alesis DM6 drumkit, being new to E-drums i wanted to ask a question.

Is there a way to play music and drum along to it, all through your headphones (without playing music through speaker and drums through headphones etc)

I maybe asking a silly question but i realy have no clue, do i need any programmes or anything or can i use itunes or something with my mp3s?

    thanks for the help

Welcome to DrumChat Ryan. Here's what you're looking for:

    From Alesis:

    CONNECTIONS

    Quote-

The DM6 has stereo headphone and amplifier outputs so you can play quietly in phones or connect up and rock out. You can also connect your iPod or CD player and mix it in with the DM6's stereo input jack.

    -End Quote

Insert a mini 3.5 patch cord from your iPod or CD player's line out into the 3.5 "Mix In" jack as seen in this pic of the back of your module. Plug in your headphones into the D6's module and you'll be able to hear a mix from your module and whatever source you have patched into the "mix in" port.

    I hope this helps.....
