If anyone hasn't seen The Eagles Documentary (currently on Netflix).....I implore you to do so.

    It's 3 hours long......but well worth it.

Jeez, who next? I mean, first Lemmy, then Bowie, Allen Rickman, and now Glenn Fry. This is ridiculous.

I also heard Dale Griffin from Mott the Hoople passed away as well.

    Wow.

Saw the Eagles many times over the years. Probably the most talented group of musicians I've ever seen perform. Frey's contribution to their sound will be sorely missed.

    Eagles:

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our comrade, Eagles founder, Glenn Frey, in New York City on Monday, January 18th, 2016.

Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia.

The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery.

Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide.

Don Henley | Joe Walsh | Timothy B. Schmit | Bernie Leadon | Irving Azoff

Agreed - Henley and Frey kind of come off like a-holes but I suppose they had the creds to back it up.

It would be cool if Jackson Browne joined them for a final concert - send off for Glenn

Saw this announcement on TV last night............so sudden.
The Eagles just played here in late July.............

We all know Henley is not a show-stopping drummer; however, the vocal abilities of the Eagles is legendary............and their writing is top-notch.
Frey was a huge part of both.

So Glenn Frey passes away at 69, Bowie too. Sometimes, I think there's a lifetime ahead of me today but when I read how quickly we're losing the artists I grew up with, I realize how "short" life really is. 69 isn't that old. I plan to retire at 65 (knock on wood).

So, if everyone is passing away at 69, that just means I'll be dead a year before I retire. Greeeeaaatttt....

Officially I should retire in June this year when I turn 65 but decided to do it in 2002 and never regretted it. For those who can retire before 65 do it cause you may not live to see 70 or you might. Who knows when our day will come.

Very happy I got to see him in concert. The History of the Eagles tour was amazing.

To be honest, I have no idea. I saw them last in 2010, but I don't think they're up to too much anymore.
