Thanks, and yeah that's the plan someday. Might bring it to a body shop to get proper pearl white sprayed.

Beauty Shawn! You've certainly got a lot of toms that you can choose to hit, not to mention a couple of cymbals. Looks fun to play!

Here's mine! Haven't ever been able to post good pics of it, because my room is very dark. I moved it out into the open part of the basement and snapped some pics!

It's a Ludwig CS Custom (Birch Shells, unlike the regular Ludwig Accents)

I love them! The Xs20's sound great as well.

Did some studio stuff today. This room is not at all good for drums, but we make do. There is just no "room" sound to it at all, so the drums always sound pretty dead and have no life to them. That's what reverbs are for I guess . Took lots of pictures!

ZK, the finish on your kit is similar to mine, and even the RIMS mounts are similar. Cool looking kit!

Isaac, I always like seeing your kit. That Champagne Sparkle is a really rich look. Now, I have a question about the mic'ing on the snare. I've heard of mic'ing the top and bottom heads, but it looks like you are mic'ing the top and side. Is it an illusion? If not, could you explain?

Thanks a lot! I got lucky finding such a deal on such a flashy kit!

Your eyes do not deceive you. The engineer was doing it just to experiment I think. I'm not exactly sure of why or his reasoning, but it sounded dandy in the mixing room so I guess it made a cool effect? Maybe he didn't even have that channel up at all. I have no idea, I just play the drums haha

even though, i havent got lot of experiment on playing drums, i have a lot of experience thru my ex band drummer in last 7 years.
He got huge amount of top of the class sets during that time, and i had to play, so he could listen the sounds.

I must say, all of the sets i heard/tested then couldn´t get even close for some reason. They were good, but for me, i like mine better.

Hilite Sonors were my favourite before i tesed Kumu, and i just must have set after trying..

Heres what my kit used to look like. Have the nice DW rack for it now. Traded my 9000 series stands for the 9000 series rack (still adding pieces now. Pics when all done)
    Front View:

Top View: cymbals are different heights so the proportions are off.

    Top View:

Shes my baby! Gonna add a second floor tom then sell the small rack tom and move the mid tom up top on the rack. Then add a China on far right and cowbell. Gotta get the last piece of my rack put on first though.
