Thank you for the response, I've looked around at different sites without any luck, that is why I posted, seems the serial #'s with the B/O badge stop at year 1979, if I were to guess this serial # maybe around 82/83?
I'm just trying to dial it in a little closer if possible.

Did you look inside the shell ? All my Ludwig drums have the date rubber stamped on the inside of the shell in ink .

Yes I've looked inside, the drum is stripped down to the shell for cleaning, all thats left is the badge w/ser.#

The B/O badge transitioned from pointed to rounded corners in 1979 and lasted to mid 80's. Does yours have the rounded corners?
If so, 82/83 would be a pretty good guess, IMO ...
