The Maples are my favorite. I love the warmth, and fullness of them. The bass drum has this punch I can feel in the pit of my stomach everytime I play them. I'm sure you know what I mean. The catalina ash is so smooooooth!!!! I love them. And the ludwigs have great attack, and they are loud. But again the Maple are my favorite.

Hi, I'm a new guy on here (had to wait until I got approved, lol) but as soon as I get my pics done, will post them. Quick lil' intro, Im from Australia (Sydney), been playing 20+ years (currently doing far more teaching than playing at the moment), and a small run down on gear? Main kit is a hybrid (Rogers 1960's kick and floors [used to be racks], Ludwig Classic rack toms, and various snares [Starclassic, Premier, etc] plus mostly Paiste cymbals)....second kit is another hybrid (acoustic incl. large roto-toms, plus some electronics)....then 2 Alesis DM5 electronic kits (with added Surge cymbals) and a Roland Octopad...then also a whole bunch of Latin, ethnic and tuned percussion. I'll try and get this lot up on here as soon as I can.
