    Default first electric set

    Im thinking about getting an electric setup so i can play in my room after 8 which my neibors so kindly "asked" me to. I heard about an alesis set for 599 that was decent i probably need to stay around that price range what do u guys think i should get

    well if your after feel then the roland or the yami is the way

    but the alesis do make a good value kit and alesis have been making killer moduals since the 80's

    You can buy a used roland TD3 or TD6 if you shop around in that price range

    if you're gonna be buying an e-kit then you can go a bit cheaper provided you're still gonna keep your acoustic kit. the alesis dm5 is fine for it's money but you might want to look into a td3 or td6 if you have enough money(obviously try buying used) or otherwise the dtxpress4(i just didn't like the rubber pads that much - i dunno if you can replace them with aftermarket mesh ones...).
