The bag of candy is always a nice touch! Snacked as I setup my Roland TD25 kit I just got.

The saga continues. I have received the rest of the bounty I went after.

Here's the balance of the pictures of new gear not including some additional Humes and Berg bags I was waiting on.

I'm pretty sure this means that I'm not getting rid of the TWP TAMA Starclassic kit I've built up from a basic 5 pc into it now being a 7 pc.

    Meet PSS65-TWP

TAMA Starclassic B/B 14X6.5 matching snare.

If at 1st you don't succeed, go see Bish.

He will show you how to have your very own drum warehouse and a 3rd mortgage on your house.

He will show you how to swap your kids for a Black Beauty and get change (usually a puppy).

You will be taught how to explain to your wife/GF why she no longer has a washer/dryer, but how she can get the most out of a rock and a river.

    AND

Last, but certainly not least, how to find the true value of your wife/GF because you never do know when G.A.S. will strike again.

Yeah got back Tuesday night. Not enjoying the heat and humidity back home.

Kit is at my guitarist's house, but I'll snap some pics at band practice next week. Go the TD25K, but I'm thinking of selling the smaller pads and upgrading a little. It does have the VH-11. Very happy so far.

My brother took back his DIY TD-9 I was using, so had not choice. So sad .

That's funny stuff there. That last one is a tough one though. Is there a formula?

That blue Tama snare and the Supra are both looking great.
Your Supra has the same tube lugs and throw as my Black Magic............plating being the only difference.

Sweet! I don't have a B/B snare for my kit. Let me know how it sounds.

Right now I alternate between the Gretsch Gold Series Oak 6.5x14 Stave and the Tama Stewart Copeland 5x14 COB. I don't really play the Meridian snare as it's kind of weak, so I wouldn't mind having a B/B snare.

G-man! The formula is somewhat complex because of all the variables.

    I'll attempt to simplify:

If your wife/GF looks like this in order for it to be anywhere near a even trade, you would have to get a set of your choice of or + a 2017 Shelby + a all expense paid week at the best hotel for the next 5 Super Bowls.

    BUT

If she looks like this you might get a set of Sears drums and have to pay for and install heavy duty springs in the pick-up truck that you will have to buy him.

So it comes down to this simple formula:

34,23, 34 gets you what you want.

    40,40,40, will not.

I AM HOOKED. Best sounding drum right out of the box.

I have assumed control. I'm actually in complete control making strategic purchases to compliment my kits and be ready to gig.

Thank you. Once I heard it I couldn't be happier. It sounds exactly like what I was expecting, only better.

How do you like the Supralite? I've been thinking about getting one................pretty cheap, but wanted to hear your opinion.

I was finally able to play around with it yesterday.

I really like it. It's a bit thin when tuned up but then I had just gotten done working with my TAMA B/B snare and my ears were tuned to that drum.

It is a projecting drum with lots of snap to it, very sensitive so articulation shines, has a decent cross stick and is very light and easy to haul.

Plus, with the tub lugs and chrome body it's a looker, for sure.

For the money I don't think you can go wrong. I got mine for under $180.00, 14X6.5.

Can't find a matching snare right now, but there are some reasonably priced with very close finishes. Just have to make funds available.

I was waffling between the two. I have been looking for a deal on the Black Magic. After reading many reviews dissing the drum for varied reasons, I didn't want to take the chance spending almost $400.00 USD and not liking it, considering I had just shelled out a ton for the Black Beauty.

The construction is top notch with no defects. It tuned up in a matter of minutes to something I like. It looks incredible. It could definitely be a gigging snare as it does project.

To me it sounds very close to the brass snares but not as beefy. Would also make a nice 2nd snare if cranked a bit tighter.

All in all for a drum this nice under $200.00, I think it's a bargain.
