DCP 10th Anniversary Sonor Cast Bronze Snares
No link now but man it's a work of art too.
Wow is all I can say. Pricey, yes. Obviously it's personal preference if the price is worth it but dang these are some sexy and amazing sounding drums.
There's also only 10 of each size being made.
Re: DCP 10th Anniversary Sonor Cast Bronze Snares
ut oh, I have a feeling this thread going to be deleted..
Re: DCP 10th Anniversary Sonor Cast Bronze Snares
Why's that? Advertising? Oooops lol
Re: DCP 10th Anniversary Sonor Cast Bronze Snares
Yeah, MDK said it. Just edit your post to remove the link and maybe replace it with the picture and some info. Hurry, lol.
BTW, it is out of my price range....

Edited.....ps I agree it's out of my price range too.......if I was to get a high end bronze I'd get the Gretsch USA Custom Phosphorus Bronze 5mm snare. Half the price.

I dont think so, as far as I know initials are ok.. I mean DCP could mean alot of things like drum canter of Purtsmit, or Drub Centaur of Patti Smith etc etc. I dangerously go there way to often as well , The owner Paine is a good guy.

I saw the video of that thing, and was blown away. Went to the site, and saw the price, and was blown right back to reality.

Re: DCP 10th Anniversary Sonor Cast Bronze Snares
One day I came home and sitting on the kitchen table was a DW Edge Neil Peart Signature snare drum. My wife bought it for me just because I'm a Peart fan, and at the time I was building my Rush Tribute kit that I was going to be using in an upcoming show and she thought I'd like to add the snare to the kit. It cost her $1025.00 plus tax. A very beautiful snare, I brought it down to the basement and put it on my snare stand and tried it out. Then I put my regular snare on another stand and compared the two , oh my snare then and still now is a Pearl Masters maple snare that I paid $225.00 for. Guess what I liked the pearl snare better so I took the DW snare back to the drum shop and traded it for a used Ludwig classic maple shell pack 13 , 16 , 18 , 26, . Moral of the story, some drums are way overpriced and you only think they sound great because of said price , once you get them home you will see there is little difference between a $200.00 snare and a $2000.00 snare if you know how to tune.
Shown here is the DW snare , yeah it sure is pretty.

Wow, NP................what a killer trade.
That Ludwig shell pack is great; I would have done the same thing (without any hesitation).
That shell pack had to have cost twice that snare price.

I had a similar experience. My wife bought me a DW Collectors snare, maple with an exotic veneer for Christmas. It is a work of art to look at, but only sounds ok for my taste. I actually prefer my Tama SLP G-maple 7x13. Anyway, I’m now selling the Dw at a big loss...
