Drummer for Pigface and The Damage Manual, Martin Atkin's advice.
Found this great lil' video snippet trawling through YouTube. Martin Atkins has played with bands such as Public Image Ltd, Pigface, Killing Joke and quite a few others including Ministry, Rx (a collaboration with Ogre from Skinny Puppy) and he even toured with Nine Inch Nails at one stage. The Damage Manual is a band he formed with former PiL bandmate Jah Wobble on bass and Killing Joke's Geordie Walker and Chris Connelly from Ministry on guitars.

Very good video Drum!I watched a show where they were interviewing a song writer and he said basically the same thing as far as it being hard.Every time you write a good song, the next is just a bit harder.Maybe not just from trying to make it better than the last but also by making it different.I cant stand to hear a band that every song sounds the same.I have seen some bands so diverse that you have a hard time putting them in any one genre. To me variety is the spice of life.Although,my first band tried to play a bit of everything and the audience was mad because we didnt keep playing the type of music they wanted to hear,(rock verses country for example).Because of this it is good to stay within a certain genre so that the listeners know what to expect.
