How much do those weigh ?
It is a chrome wrap so they would not weigh anymore than an ordinary kit. I think
If you remember a while ago I mentioned that I use optimounts on those drums because of the wrap having metal in it. The drums do weigh a lot! They put stress cracks in the stock drum mounts. I would like to strip off the old wrap and plug all the unnecessary holes and re wrap in the chrome wrap they use now. Then replace all the original hardware. . . . . .too much work? You can stick a magnet on it! Maple with chrome.Quote:

Carl Palmer played a large DB set of those on tour and they looked cool under the lights.
Neil Peart had a set of those in his early years.

Stainless steel or chrome whatever the case are still my all time favorite drum wrap....
Someday maybe I will try and get one in the sizes I like.

So hard to keep clean but so awesome when done right.
I've got my eyes on a Ludwig chrome kit right now for a good price. In the sizes I want too.
Just trying to justify spending the money.
