Doobie Powell Drum Licks

Hey Guy's hows it hangin'
I listend to this drummer named doobie powell, he's got some chops. but I was wondering he does this roll around the set that I think is a triplet pattern using the first two hits on the bass drum and the last hit on various drums, maybe I'm wrong or trying to give him more credit. If any of you drum gods has heard of him and knows what I'm talking about please let me know if I'm on the right track,

I just watched this video and it was pretty cool, except for he launched his stick behind him lol. It doesnt sound like a triplet pattern, I play be ear so I just find out what I like and try to reproduce it.
Sorry that really wasn't much of a helpful answer but I'll research it and get back.
