"Good Googley Goup!" wonderful snares guys...( quote from Grady on Sanford and sons )
PB, I didn't realize you had two Black Panthers?
Good thing the Good Book doesn't address coveting thy neighbors snares....:ok:
Ok, it does, just not specifically...BUT PB lives thousands of miles from me so we're not really neighbors, right?
Sticky...
xsabers, the Black Panther Special Edition Maple/Cherry snare (maple shell with a veneer of cherry) was the free snare that was given away with the Mapex Pro M kits. A drum shop in Nashville bought up a some of those snares when the promotion ran out (as well as the Pro M), and they had them offered at a great price - as I recall it was only $129. The Black Panther Deep Forest Cherry snare was a snare that my drum teacher played on a gig and I fell in love with the sound. I never thought I'd own one until I saw it used for $289.
yohin, I got the 14X3.5 Free Floating snare used to use as a side piccolo snare. I liked it so much that when a used 14X5 Free Floating snare came available locally for less than I could buy the shell and lugs, I got that. I still like the Free Floating snares. I'm just enjoying the Black Panther Deep Forest Cherry snare for now. I still have the 14X3.5 set up on the side, and it sounds great with the Roto Toms.
OK, these are the three I use the majority of the time. I also have the Gretsch Catalina Club snare that came with the kit.
Bob, I love those snares of yours. I think a Black Panther will be my next addition.

STACK and Dave, you guys have some really cool snares. Dave is that Tama snare a metal snare too, or is it just the light on the finish that makes it look that way?
Great thread idea! Beautiful snares, all---
