Rory Gallagher - Calling Card 1975

I've had this album since I was a teenager. The first band I was ever in used to play Moonchild and the title track Calling Card. I'm posting this because I feel that this is a great album, and good mix of rock and blues.
It is also a great album for drummers because of the varying styles on the record. I'm just now 40 years later sitting down and learning some more of the tunes on this album. See my post about the song Country Mile here:

Secret Agent is next, love the work on the bell of the ride cymbal. Check this one out drummers, you may learn something new, I sure did.

When my wife and I were vacationing in Ireland a few years ago, we were walking around the Temple Bar district of Dublin... I happened to look up and saw this sign on the wall of a building :

Old Rory. I always thought he was a bit underrated. Just about the best electric bluesman anywhere IMO.

Totally love his music. I just got the Live at Montreaux DVD. Amazing! I have been on a Rory Binge since February this year.

A couple of years ago, our band played "Calling Card," and I sang it. "Moonchild" is one of my favorite songs ever. Peace and goodwill.
