Anyone pick up the new Mastodon yet? I got it yesterday. It's REALLY good. If you are a fan of their last two, Crack The Skye & The Hunter, you'll enjoy this album.
Solid Mastodon tunes here. The kick drum SLAMS...at least in my wife's car. LOL.
If you're a fan of Mastodon, and more accurately, Mastodon's recent work you'll love this. If you aren't a fan of Mastodon or you hate their recent stuff but love their old stuff, this album isn't for you.
I bought this album, and I love it. I loved leviathan, Crack the Skye, and Blood Mountain, and this is great. I love that they're not afraid of melody, and as usual Brann is killer.

I'm not a huge fan of the stuff before Crack The Skye, but I do love that album and the Hunter.

I really like it to but the vocals sound the same all the way though. mastodon usually switches it up from now and then but maybe it was just my itouch ill give it a listen again.
