Nothing yet, but I plan to go buy a couple new snare heads when the shop opens in a couple hours.
And since I'm off work today I'll be playing after I get some yard work done.
I brought my ekit home from the practice room I've been rehearsing at in Modesto CA since the band is on the verge of breaking up. So to work out my frustrations, I reconfigured my kit with both ekit and acoustic kit side by side.

I took a day off from work today so I'm gonna go bang a few "heads".
I have printed out Connecticut Half time, and busted out the practice/mouse pad
Late8. I thought tat band just started. What happened?
all the best...
Ive been thinking about sneaking out of work to go home and play drums.........does that count for anything?
had rehearsal
changed tom heads
later going to watch University of Arizona's jazz band
Today I replaced my tom batters, tightened the hardware from inside the shells, polished and re-configured my kit. Then I played for about 10 minutes.
loaded my kit in my car for tomorrows gig
I started to mess around with putting coated heads on both batter and reso side of my toms to see what they will sound like. So far, so good.
Two and a half hours of practicing from a book, and also worked for quite awhile on the Steve Gadd Basic Paradiddle Groove. It's crazy but fun to play!!!
45 minute warmup, then an hour long band session practicing Joe Satriani and Porcupine Tree stuff.
Set up the kit after the gig this weekend at the practice studio. Went over some 5/4 grooves, a 7/4 groove I've been working on and finally got down, and tried out a polyrhythm that I saw some dude play on youtube. Did some paradiddle stuff. Cried over my dead china that I'm going to keep beating on until it breaks in half or chunks start falling off (does this count? D*** guitarists).
I bought 4 heads yesterday. 2 Evans ST Dry snare heads and 2 hazy 300 reso snare heads. Gonna try to put at least one set of them on today.
Going over the various percussion parts for the lessons I'm teaching at the primary school this Thursday...wrote an African flavoured part that they're so getting into. (Some parts need to be tightened a bit, but we'll get there before next week's performance). An hour or two transcribing "Does It Really Happen?" by Yes for a private student. And more time building a percussion case for a mate. Thank heavens for e-kits too, mucked around on ideas before I jumped on here late at night.
Nah I'm still on the practice pad working out the solo. Technically nothing is challenging about that solo. But I am not a great reader. So... it'll be a few more days before I put it to drum.
I taped off and repainted the textured black on my DW 5000 pedal boards to freshen them up and keep them looking good.
oh...just drooling over everyones sets on DC " show us your drums " thread!!..:cry2:
Spent about 45 minutes just jammin. Been working a modified 6 stroke roll between the hats snare and kick. Also worked on bombs and ending fills not on the one. Was rocking the dynasonic today. :drumset-3:
After weeks with no kit as we've had a series of guests who needed the spare room, I was finaly able to put my kit up again this evening!
Sadly, I was fairly late home from work so by the time I had it all together the kids were in bed, so all I could do was look at it!
I wanted to come home and play all day, but I had play rehearsals I had to leave for a half hour after I got home; I spent the thirty minutes eating. I got home from rehearsals only to have to leave for class... So the only drum related thing I have done today is mess around online with drum vids and forums. I hope tomorrow is better haha
