HAHAHAHA yeah me too..... iiiick
Hi to all! My name is Lorenzo, I'm from Italy and I'm a "Yamaha guy" :)
I'm proudly owner of a late '80 9000 recording custom (22x14-20x16-8x8-10x7,5-12x8-13x9-14x12-15x13-16x14-18x16 customized in Electric Blue) and a wonderful 1995 Maple Custom in Vintage Natural found in mint condition from a collector (22x16-10x9-12x10-14x12-16x14 with an additional 8x6 natural laquered).
I'm also collecting Yamaha snare drums "pre-2002", in particular seamless metal snares. My collection consists in SD3105 14x5,5 Aluminum, SD6105 14x5,5 Copper, SD455MK 14x5,5 Manu Katche Brass, SD493 14x3,5 Brass; wood snares are MSD0114, MSD0115, MSD0116 and MSD0106 Maple Custom.
The last addition was last week when I've found the MSD0116 as New Old Stock in a store near my city; I was searching for it for years and I think it's a "one of a kind", probably there aren't still many of these drums remained unsold :) This drum will remain in this condition, I don't want to ruin it and I can use the MSD0106 that is already used.
Now I'm searching fot a 8x8 Maple Custom tom in Vintage Natural, to fit better with the kit; there are few of them around and cost a lot (too much...) so probably I'll have to take with me the 8x6 lacquered. I'm also searching for a SD415MK Manu Katche first version snare drum.
I've two other drumsets: one is a '92 Premier Signia in Sapphire Blue (22x16-8x8-10x9-12x10-14x12-15x13-14x5,5 snare drum), the other a Pearl MHX Masters Mahogany Classic that I'm trying to sell (22x18-8x8-10x8-10x10-12x9-14x11-16x13-14x5,5 snare drum).
Here you can find some pictures of my Yamaha drums: http://photopink.net/yamaha-drums/
oh man... that would look great in my collection.

I also have a Dave Weckl snare from 1989 and a Copper Nouveau snare and realize that I have no good pictures of either. I'll get on that asap.
Hey gentlemen. I have a decent sized Yamaha family with a couple of Stage Custom Birch kits, a Maple Custom AN, a Weckl snare, and a Copper snare. I'll get some pictures posted here as soon as I'm off newby probation.
Just in...

Gorgeous...
Oh my god!!!
Oh, man.
Nice!
funny story.... ended up buying a Yamaha Maple Custom 22x18 bass drum to match my kit... turns out my bass drum was actually a 22x16
grrrrr $1350 for a bass drum that's not the same lol
Oh man that stinks.
I'd love to play them side by side. The one I just picked up is 22x16. I was suprised you said yours was 22x18. I generally don't like kicks with more than 16" depth, the beater response just isn't there for me with anything larger than 16" depth. I'd really prefer a 14" depth if you can find that, haha.
What size is your absolute kick?
Well my PDP bass drum and my PorkPie bass drum are both 22x18 so I just got use to that.
So I didn't think twice about what my actual size on my Yamaha is because I've had it soo long I just didn't remember.
I was also set on finding that smaller 18" kick that when the guy offered it to me I was like awesome I'll take it.
My absolute is a 22x16

In original packaging only used to test once in the studio and once live.
My asking price is €130,- The last traceable on eBay sold (not ended without bid or offer) for $152,- (approx. €144,20) or a good offer.
I saw your snare on ebay today lol
I'm always on the search for YMC drums.
Its a true beauty and warmer then Maple because of the Spruce shell.
