just wondering what they would look like.. i so wish i had one they sound so good!
its some kind of clamp that goes around the handle then onto the rod of the hi hat... LEmme find you a pic lafirin

I guess its like that but on your hi hat. I guess you could get some kind of clamp to put it to your snare :S
oh, ic so if you wanted to do 16ths on the tambareen then you literally hit the tamberene itself. Ic. thanks stevo, if anyone else knows about more that'd be great!
You could also mount a heavy jingle on your hi-hat itself, that way every time you close the hat, you get the sound of a tambourine.

There's another tambourine that fits on the high-hat called "Hat Tricks"...don't see them too often, but they were popular in the '70s...might look around for it at a smaller drum shop...
Heaps of people use them. There handy. Some people mount many of them for the different sounds possible. Its good because it gives you the option of hitting once making two sounds. Triggers are good for that also.
You may be interested in peddle instruments too. There just kick peddals with claves or cowbells attached etc.
