    If you could find another set of 6 & 8 concert toms, buy them and modify them. But if you only have the one matching set, I wouldn't touch them.

    I use an electronic drum kit at home and love it. Quiet to play on. I have multiple drum kit sounds at the touch of a button. Takes up far less space than an acoustic kit.

    The tamo ash finish on that kit is actually a plastic wrap from Bum drum. Pretty cool looking though. I got a sample of it. It does look like a plastic wrap and not a natural finish

    I've been playing Paiste since 1985. Just love their quality and sound. Very consistent from cymbal to cymbal. Rudes for rides and Hi-Hats, and a mixture of Rudes, 2002's, and Signature for crashes....
