Does anyone have any experience with this drum? What do you think of it? I have an opprotunity to buy one for $250 and it looks like that price is a good deal.
Thanks!
Wow that's beautiful!
I figured when you sit down, the snare drum is usually the drum in between your legs. Therefore this would be the core of your kit. You build everything around that.
Your bass drum and hi hat go...
Anyone have a setup like this? Or anything similar? Just trying something new!

I've played a 17" signature full crash and it was beautiful and sounded great. I imagine the difference between the full and the fast crashes is that the fast crashes decay quicker, making them...
I put a dust cover over my kit now, so dusting isn't too big of any issue. But just spot checking all of the gear and cymbals is something I could do more of.
10, 12, 14 toms for me. Rarely use the 12 though
I've had a pearl snare stand where the nylon bushing has cracked twice. I think the pearl hardware has a tendency to wear out fast. You have to be careful to not over tighten them.
I ordered a...
I played with a big band last night for new years eve party
I love the Tama hardware, always reliable, and the star snare stand looks great. Only thing I dislike about is that I prefer the basket diamter be set with a screw at the bottom of the basket like...
I don't think it is the musicians job to bring in customers, but on the other hand, why should a bar spend their money (thus spending their financial rescources they could be using on the bar) on...
Pro-Mark Hickory Wood Tip 5B's
Pretty standard, nothing special.
On top of wooden handled brushes, hot rods, broomsticks, and timpani mallets.
I like having different voices.
Learn what you think is necessary to enhance your playing. If you feel you need more flexibility and freedom with fills and moving around the kit. Then defintely learn some left hand leads as they...
Reminds me of a variation on a ****tail drum kit
I think it's always great to change setups and styles. It provides a new persepctive. Just remember to not cut back on stuff for the sake of just cutting back on stuff. Cut back on the things you...
I like standing because it helps me focus a little bit more on what I'm doing
Better than having a pad or kit in your office, being one of those lucky few to make a living out of drumming
Thats great man! That's dedication right there, props to you! I always find my morning practices to be more productive than my evening/night practices as well.
Saw them once at Universal Studios, great show, and inspiring to me as I was considerably younger
The pearl exports are wildley popular entry level kits and they sound great right away. That being said, the Tama Imperialstar was my first drum kit I owned and I aboslutely loved it. It seems that...
The PDP EZ's were made of Basswood
I think it may be possible for a traditional china to fit, but I imagine it would eat up alot of space in the cymbal vault
I also like having a floor tom with legs because I think you can have more freedom with placement. You aren't dependent on that cymbal stand or rack or tom stand to hold up the floor tom. You could...
Bish, what is the purpose of having a double kick pedal only going to one of the bass drums? Doesn't this leave the second kick out of play?
