This is a 14" x 6" segment drum made of oak, bubinga, and...

    Re: DW Collectors Edition Question

Going from 10 and 12 to 18 is kind of a big jump. But some people have a hard time getting a deep, low sound from a 14 or 16. That might be why they have an 18.

Evans modified their Kevlar marching head and now makes a Kevlar head specifically for drum kit snares. The sound sample on their website sounds pretty good. They're pretty expensive, though,...

    Re: Blues drummers

I don't know of any famous blues drummers. They mainly rely on the shuffle-type beats. Blues just isn't a genre where drummers shine.

I don't know much about your condition, but 200 bpm (100 bpm 8th notes) is pretty good. Have you talked with your instructor about trying different bass drum techniques, such as the slide technique,...

    Re: Drum Transcription service

Well, that song is fairly difficult to transcribe with lots of precision and so many people have different interpretations of the song. If you're still wanting to learn the song, I think the best way...

    Re: Drum Transcription service

Well, those people that make money off it are almost always very good. I'm not sure about price, but I would charge $25-50. However, you should've asked the members here. A few members here including...

    Re: Metronome help

Maybe it just feels slow because you were subdividing the eighth notes in your head while listening to the song, but when you turn on the met, you're only hearing the quarter notes.
