The front head is quite tight as I am going for that "hiphop" sound, but I guess I could try that.
It's not that tight as it is.
I do both depending... but at the moment I can't bury it at...
So when I play my small kick I get a lot of feedback from the beater and it ends up just bouncing on the head and inadvertently playing extra notes. I am guessing it has to do with airflow inside...

I am in the middle of buying a meinl setup... I have the 15" dual hats, which I love... I have the 16" dual crash, which I love... and I have the extra dry splash.... which.... i love... I am picking...
you may have to contact one of their dealers and order just the piece you want.
I think on your higher end kits with the superior mounting hardware you won't notice much of a difference... but on your cheaper kits you absolutely will. I don't think it will make A HUGE...

to be fair, i technically ordered drums by piece... not a preconfigured set. So perhaps that is the reason it was not included.

there was an issue.
seems that ordering a non-virgin bass drum with the mount doesn't mean you also ordered the double tom mount to put in it.
