I picked mine up for 150 on sale!
ya but it is specifically for recording drums.
thanks man! I mixed the sound with audio technica ath-m50s, which are pretty generous when it comes to bass, So I probably tried to make up for it in the mix by turning down kick and bass volumes. So...
btw, I am not playing drums in this, Im actually playing bass, but I did all the recording, mixing, and mastering. I am reaaally new to that sort of stuff so, any feedback on the quality of the song...
I did this by spraying the drum 3 coats of yellow and then applying a layer of black crackle paint. when the paint dries it shrinks, exposing the yellow crackles!
thanks man!
I have a virgin cat! the catalina club mods have virgin bass drums!
just standard triple flanged hoops. its a pretty crummy drum, but i figured I could spruce it up a bit.

Didn't really know where to post this, but I would appreciate any feedback!
thanks!
I think they are actually in the thousands now :icon_eek:
Why not? I did it to my wuhan splash And it sounds fantastic.
thanks man. I think it will really look pretty rad with a whole set of them. The coolest thing is that my dad is a painter and so it's not costing me anything to do it, its all just scrap paint.
I'm planning on doing the entire set like this, each with a different neon-colored crackle.

fiberskyn heads sound great for jazz
So I am thinking about upgrading my drumset. I have a gretsch catalina and I want to get something a little more on the semi-pro/ professional side. I was thinking of sonor select force s drive pack...
I think If you leave it in the salt water for a shorter amount of time, and wipe the salt off after you take it out, that would probably lessen the effect by stopping it from oxidizing further.
what do you mean, waiting for the punchline?
So, I have recently become very interested in cymbal modification, and while I was reading up on methods and such, I saw someone suggested soaking cymbals in salt water. So I took my wuhan 10" splash...
