i have a beautiful 8x13 keller maple TREEHOUSE custom snare with tube lugs and trick throw. it is fantastic. however not any better "quallity" over any of my other high end factory snares.

i love the trick throws. nice drum.
yep, that chicks got it goin' on.
nice price on the luddys, but i would keep the GMS. the supra adds some nice juice to the deal, but still.
i getcha. you would hate my 18x16 then. it's kinda bouncy. lol. there is something about diggin into a beefy 24" that just feels great.
ONE SNARE TO RULE THEM ALL! A pearl brass free floater is my do it all snare...and for 600 bux you can get one and a switch out maple shell. i also agree with those that say the good ol 6" ludwig...
no good 20's huh? wait till i post the recording i did this last weekend:icon_mrgreen: even without any mastering yet, it sounds freaking fantastic.
some killer snares. still wondering what stock head that is on the steel ref. pro-tones are stock on lower lines not ref, masterworks and masters, and it is def not an ambassador. i think pearl makes...
mostly my virgin 20x16= tone and punch.
a little late here but your dealer is lying to you. contact pearl personally.
i guess they figured we should have eco-friendly drums since most drummers drive big hoopty cargo vans with v-8s.
i like the magnum wagon. i almost bought an RS awhile back.
i have to agree with johnny ringo that bearing edges, heads and tuning have more to do with good sound than anything. i personally prefer triple flanged hoops on thin shells as i think they create...
my best snare in that range is a used maple pearl free floater. it's as good as any for general purpose.
all i have to say is that if DW wants to be more eco-friendly, they should take less PAPER for thier product...lol!
i think the wife would be the one wearing the EX badge before i sold my gear:icon_mrgreen:
makes me think gucci or something...lol.
nice cymbals to complement the nice masters kit.
dang les. those cleaned up nicely. they look new in the pics. i can't believe thats the original snare.
if i said i hated it...i would still like it more than fasster *****cat or bullet boys.
however, i did not hate it at all, and thought it sounded pretty good. i like the 2nd one. good gig!!!
flo is top notch in his genre. my man john longstreth from origin is super bad too.
i'm 36 and other than the front guy in my current band (12 years younger), i have almost always played with people alot older than me. at least it's been that way since i quit playing metal full time...
some gret new kits in here since i last poked my head in this thread. lovin those birch customs with wood hoops.
Frank, i guess i'm a little behind since this is the first i have heard about this. my thoughts are with ya. maybe even more today than might have been last week. i just got back from a week in nw....
VERY nice drum there scorch.
