Chapter 5 (of 5)
(Promise to add some pics, soon)
The new frontier for drums was Ebay. The new auction platform featured a slew of vintage drums, with all brands - some long gone - in the mix,...
Chapter 4...
Kelly's band broke up or otherwise came off the road in 1984.
He married Tiiu in summer and moved to southern Ontario (Mount Forest) shortly afterward.

Thanks, N2Bluz.
Cool you'll be adding some ''Bama to your band's playlist.
You're spot on about that band being at the forefront of country music's evolution, and not everyone was on board!
Thanks, Bish.
Working on the 4th and will post it by Saturday at the latest.
Got some Kelly kit photos scanned and will post those, too.
Chapter 3...
The photo of Kelly playing table hockey reminds me of the early '80s and trips - many trips - to The Machine Shop, a cool arcade about four blocks north of our Tim Horton's.

I'll write a 2nd 'chapter' very soon. I have two more 12-hour office shifts to go, including today.
I want to recall as much as I can. Tough to do in work mode!...

Maybe it's this iPhone?
I'll write a 2nd chapter very soon.
Two 12-shifts at the office to go...
Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
I posted a lengthy entry a couple of days ago, but it has disappeared.
Maybe it was too long? Should I slice it in two? It's 994 words...
Hoping Tom or someone! can steer me right on this.

This was taken in Sept, 2013.
We're up top of the lighthouse at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, Whitefish Point, MI.
I can't recall the first time I met Kelly. It would have been in the mid-60s.
What I do remember is that at first, the friendship centred around drums.
He had got one of those colorful toy kits...
Thanks, Russ.
Eyes are misty. Saw a lot of red eyes and smiles yesterday.
I shared comments with a couple of Kelly's brothers and his Mom. They loved to hear of his comaraderie here!
Your...

I'll hop on later to share some stories, some history and stuff.
My frustration right now is not having - at my fingertips - a great photo of Kelly...
