Took a break from the forums, found they were getting slow and repetitive. Man you have really dug in with your drum collecting. Looks more like a drum shop.

Nice playing man, drums sound great too.
That is weird, I upgraded from 5000's to Iron Cobra's.

Finally did a download of this kit in my drum room. Had them in the studio but I left the band and have not gotten a copy of the...
Agree the DW is ugly and bulky, but any cheap imported knock off junk performs better than a P-85. Ludwig is so far behind in throwoff technology, sad really.
The Trick is my favourite, but the price often steers me down to the DW mag. The Pearl Reference mentioned above is an awesome piece, but I am not sure of pricing as a separate unit.
It shapes and sands a lot like walnut but A lot quicker. I would guess it to be 500 on the Janka scale. Maple is around 1450, Elm is around 850 I think, Basswood is probably about 500 but does not...
Thanks, I wanted a ying yang match to this one. Playing with this one last summer this snare stood out over everything on the stage. ...

Working on it, sitting at hospital with bad wifi
Started this 12" snare this week. Butternut is the wood, it is extremely soft, only took about 12 minutes to turn down the inner and outer shell. Thought some sunshine for the finish would brighten...
Condolences to the wife, and thanks to her for taking the time to let the community know.
From what I gathered from interviews with other musicians he was pretty bitter with the music industry, and the fact that he was one of the worlds best, but did not make money like pop stars. And...
A whole album in one day is quite the feat. Congrats and best of luck getting it promoted.
His family released that he died today at 70 years of age. Must have been sudden, I heard he was just on a mini tour with Virgil Donati. If any of you younger guys do not know who he was, many guitar...
Working on my home computer internet right now, can't do video edit on my IPad, but I plan to load up,some video off the floor as well as the actually studio track. The sub kick was the producers...
All done with no time to spare. Zapped the heads on with a Dewalt screw gun and headed in to Phase One Studios in Toronto. Amazing facility responsible for countless top shelf albums, sadly, closing...
And the 14x6.5" snare ready to go.

Not enough free time, the suspense is killing me. Got the 24" kick assembled. Everything is ready to go, one more full day to get whole kit together.

I was a chronic grunter, when it was brought to my attention it took me a couple years to break the habit. Now I do not grunt and I play 100% more relaxed. The two seem to go hand in hand.
Love these snares, I have him on FB and his work is so impressive. I prefer the single flange hoops over your Tama swap aesthetics wise.
So far, I am keeping it in the stable. We are doing a song at Phase One studios in a couple weeks and may use this or my Sunburst Radio King, see which one makes the cut. Hoping to debut this kit...
Finally put this 13X7 Walnut snare back together. Had chrome mixed with satin aluminum before, brushed up some die cast hoops and the DW throw to give all the hardware some uniformity. I will try to...
Wet sanded and sprayed the last of my clear coat last night. Now installing my signature vents.

And I got this maple...
It is a Drumkit Rick. Maybe it is a Canadian thing.
