If you are allowed to be loud, I would seriously consider skipping the e-kit and go straight for a real drum set. In that price range the e-kits are pretty crummy...waste of money in my opinion...and...
Sorry...it was my fault :icon_redface:
Dude was practically begging for it though. If this is the case, then this forum shouldn't have people like that popping in to brag. Bragging is just as bad...
Overtones are caused by uneven tuning in the heads. If both heads are tuned evenly and to the same "note" there should be no overtones. It's also possible you don't have them tuned to each drum's...
I have the same "problem" with my brushes....also the retractable kind...
I'm guessing that it's oxidation from the metal wires. Just like cymbals or any metal will corrode...the wire brushes...
This might work.....or you could try some moongel or e-rings. A lot cheaper than new mounts.
I have that same splash. Seems shameful to see yours wasted sitting on top of that monstrosity.
I guess if it works for ya all the better.....but me.....I just don't like stacked cymbals.
Glad you enjoyed! Ha...but believe it or not the only bass on that album was that cheap red Ibanez I posted above. Didn't get the Michael Kelly 'til later.....but man it would have been sweet to have...
The pic doesn't quite do it justice...wish I had a better camera but all I have is a camcorder which isn't too great for still shots.
Anyway...I DO like playing classical guitar...in fact...

Oh I see.....it was gonna be waiting for you while you're in Florida.
Well dude...why not just go around to some music stores while you're visiting and I'm sure you could find a different...
If it were me I'd want a dedicated ride cymbal. A good crash/ride is very versatile and it's nice to have both functions out of one cymbal, but to go a step further and have at least one DEDICATED...
Too much instant gratification in todays society! It's just a snare drum. It will arrive. When it does you'll soon realize the heartache was pointless.
You're really quite fortunate to live in...
Awesome man! I'm a wee bit jealous! I have the AAX version, I love it, but there's something about the randomness of the hand hammered marks that brings out the envy :icon_mrgreen:
Congrats...you...
Haha....yeah....awesome idea!
Nice cymbals there. Hope whoever gets them understands the difference from B8's. Can only imagine the surprise on their face! :icon_eek:
Personally I don't like things too complicated so for a small setup I think 2 crashes is enough. Got to have some variety. A splash is always a nice addition...and I would also second the vote for a...
I play the same guitar I've had for over 10 years...a Washburn classical (nylon string) acoustic/electric. I also have a 12-string Seagull that was handed down to me from my dad.
Other than that...
Wait it out! Ask yourself...do you absolutely NEED one right now? Or could you put the money away and save for awhile longer and get a much better pedal in a few months? One you really truly WANT?

I'm still kickin' with my stock snare that came with my kit.....it's not considered anything special, but it suits me just fine.
Sometimes folks don't know how good they got it....even something...
Ah....check your other thread dude....for your age and experience those Pst5's should serve you well. You're already way ahead of most other drummers your age.....and quite frankly....some that are...
hey jcloud......sorry if my comment sounded harsh.....I didn't mean for it to be.
Now that I have a little more info I can say that for a 12 year old beginner you are in pretty good shape. As...
Welcome to DrumChat. I'll answer the question you DIDN'T ask. Every one of your cymbals needs an upgrade. I would swap them all out with better ones....and THEN go ahead and start adding effects...
Picked up my copy! Can't wait to try it out! I've had a PS3 for 3 years now and it has many amazing games.
I used to LOVE racing games...but since I've gotten older my tastes have...
LOL....I'm guessing you work in retail. You have my respect sir.....I've been there and done that. Nothing will make you hate people more than having to deal with all the drama brought to you by even...
