I agree. For lots of songs I think it is important for the bass to hit the 1 note at beat 1 of each measure. Some bass players do not seem to know that.

Try studying something different. Sometimes change is good.
One reason that I like playing along with recordings is it makes me feel like I can play lots of songs, like I've accomplished something.
That's a sad story. Was she depressed?
That might be a good look at a gig. Just wear hand cuffs on one hand though so they don't get too much in the way. Prepare a good story "Hey I just escaped from the cops, don't tell anybody". I...
It's not that easy finding a bass player that I like. Lots of people play bass, but I want somebody that reinforces music phrases, not just plays root and 5th.
I did a gig and had to quit early because they wanted to use the place for a ceremony. They scattered somebody’s ashes on the water and threw flowers on top.
Your guitar player can't stomp on one of his/her boxes and make organ or sax sounds?
Looks pretty nice. I think you'll get lots of compliments if you decide to take it out.
I'm trying to follow forum rules.
Try searching "digital percussion".
Search for compact digital drum kits. They sound more like drum kits and are small enough for travel.
It's a whole different experience jamming with other musicians. You should do it.
You left a bad situation and that is good. New band is more promising.
I bought a Behringer B208d powered speaker for a PA system. It only has an 8 inch speaker. But it sounds very good. I'm very happy with it, been using it for 4 years now.
Are you guys going on tour again?
I too admire Keith Emerson's work. Sad to read that he is gone. RIP
Wow lots of bad things happening. Maybe next time will be better.
Those can be nice gigs. I'm not so sure about weddings. Anyway you did good and I'm glad to see that one thing is leading to another.
Yay Bridie!
If you don't have debt then it's hard to go broke.
It takes years to get good on drums. Maybe use mesh heads or pads (clothes) to muffle the sound. I'd take a snare drum and hi hat to a park and practice there for awhile.
Ha! Great picture. I wish you both well.
How much did it cost?
For blues and jazz an inexpensive hi hat stand might work. The two leg models fit better on the floor.
I can read threads that you started back in September or November 2015 but not the threads you posted yesterday.
That bell looks so strange.
