I played latin percussion for years before trying my hand a drum kits. [I] find that a lot of non latin players tune their macho(smaller of the two drums) too low .he macho should have a nice pop to...
Welcome I'm fairly new as well there is a wealth of information in this forum.
The toms are suspension mounted so if you grab a tom and move it around yes it is loose. That is normal I had that kit until recently when I upgraded. With good heads they sound great
I use the clamps that come with the Saturn set and clamp it to my Pearl cymbal stands with no problems.
Look at some of the offerings from Behringer. Or you can use a USB mixer plugged into your computer. A lot of youtube videos are recorded with a USB mixer plugged into a computer.
Latin conga percussion players have been doing this forever. Its even used to describe certain licks etc. I think it works great as my background is latin percussion.
I hope the wife doesn't notice the mismatch or it just might be your last drum purchase LOL. Beautiful drum my friend enjoy.
Wow some of these pics and prices leave me shaking my head. This thread is a lot like what I see when looking for used equipment. Way overpriced with the word "vintage" thrown around like crazy.

My throne is not hydraulic but I have the back rest and I just took it off I personally found it annoying.
What's the deal with this drummer? Nobody mentions this guy. He seems to be disliked for some reason.
I'll take a regular supra no signature stuff for me
yeah just need to make sure my pics are right side up lol
Got to meet Nicko yesterday at his restaurant. Very nice guy.
All the luck to you and your success. This sounds like it might be a great steady gig for you

The biggest problem I see is when a student like myself is learning a new groove or song It can be a challenge for the student. When the teacher who is obviously experienced starts to play even...
Wow very impressive!
I am happy to say that I'm finally improving at tuning. Not sure what clicked in my head and ears but it did and I.m tuning much better now.
That’s awesome!
In my limited experience I agree with Drummer on shorter sustaining crashes to my left thats exactly what I did with mine
Happy to see you were taken care of after the screw up.
