Good to be back! Hope all is well down south!
I used to shop there often! Great shop.
Terrible news. Thanks for sharing, Ron.
That's not how I thought that story was going to end! haha.
Hey Rick! Even while I was gone I've still dropped in every so often to read posts.
Spaz, I'm not sure we'll do anything long term. I don't have the desire to gig regularly again. I didn't...
Fair point.
Probably best in that case. You're not down the $120 from the other members leaving, might as well move forward.
Somewhere between the two. His parents also moved to florida around the time he did. They don't like it there so they are moving back here to PA. He's living with them until he finds a new just up...
Nice video. I'm gonna give it a shot. Just put a new GMAD head on my Starclassics recently.
I think you're on the right track. If there's a band fund and everyone has put money in it's only fair that the new guys do the same.
Hey Everyone! It's been a minute since I've logged in here but I wanted to pop in and say hello. Some of you may recall my band's guitar player moved to Florida to pursue his marine biology career...
Rich,
So sorry to hear this brother. I wondered what happened to your facebook page. Hang in there man. Good to hear from you.
Hey Rich! I duck in and out from time to time.
Good thinking, Rich! And good work, Spaz! Too bad it wasn't up to your expectations. Rich brought up a documentary...I watched one a while back called Sound City I think, about a sound board that...
My 16" Sabian AA medium thin is absolutely perfect. Must be something about those medium thins.
Wow Bish. What a story. Good luck!
I've never used a practice pad. Probably why I'm not very good! haha. I have one of those old school grey plastic with the white "head"...I think they are old Remos. But I almost never use it.
Wow, not good. Like Rich said, please keep us updated.
Glad you guys got things straightened out, Rich. Obviously you know your tone was strong in the email, but sometimes that's the only way to get the point across. I've been there. But I do think...
I sent back a china with a tiny crack on the edge, maybe 1/8" long. They cut the cymbal down enough to get ride of the crack, polished, and re-inked. Came back like a brand new cymbal. Though,...
Absolutely no way you should pay to return it. This is their mistake. Make them pay the shipping.
I would echo what these fine gentlemen said. Know your material and play to a click. Relax and have fun.
Those were the first heads I used. Easy to "tune" for a beginner with cheap drums. Win-win. I don't think I'd ever go back to them, just not enough sustain for me. I like coated Evans G2 or G1...
I also have this one, though mine is red. I like it. I've had it for a number of years. Very easy to transport, I put the seat in with my floor tom and the base in with the rest of my hardware.

My thoughts exactly. I can't stand the new look. I do understand the need for forum upgrades, but the background is distracting and the entire forum is difficult to read and navigate. I visit less...
I'm not nearly as active as I used to be, but if I'm being honest, I really dislike the new layout. It's very unpleasant to my eyes and quite frankly it keeps me from checking in more often. Now,...
