Re: Zildjian K custom hybrid + Sabian Ozone HHX

I really like the 19 KCH China, 21 ride, and 19 crash, I think those 3 sound the best. Haven't tried the hats yet but am looking forward to it, I've heard they sound nice too.

    Imo the AC 17 crash...

    Re: Drumming in the Basement

Hi pastor, I think it depends on a few things. Like how long you will be in the house, how often you will play down there, and if noise control is important. And as others have said, if you have...

Re: good exercises (not drumming) for speed

    Lol...

I've been told that tapping your heels on the ground while keeping the balls of your feet down is a good exercise for double bass players.
  7. Re: I was told by my band I need to learn reggae.

Yeah I got the feel down by counting slower (2&4) when I tried playing reggae for the first time. But I just put some reggae on Pandora and after reading this thread and watching the vids, I counted...

    Thx for the explanation!
  9. Re: I was told by my band I need to learn reggae.

Thank you so much for that post. I was really confused when I watched Dumble's vid cause they were counting different. I didn't learn reggae by lesson, just by listening and counting and I always...

    Re: Air Drumming Anyone?

Thx for posting that. Very cool. Drum hero would be sweet. I didn't see his feet moving... the auto-music writing looks like a pretty handy tool.

Re: Found a new drummer to enjoy on you tube

^^ Curious.... what is an example of 'good' in your book? (no sarcasm or anything negative) If you could post a video for comparison, that would be cool.

    3rd Lesson:

To begin, we did not discuss any of the prior homework. In my head I was like, 'come on man, I practiced this week!' :) Instead, we discussed reading music and proper notation.

Re: Recomend me a china cymbal

Paiste's 802 18" china sounds just like the Zild 19" K cust dark for like 1/3 the price. While pricey, the K cust hybrid 19" is the bomb imo.
