I hear ya. The moisture is picking up in this area too and the skins are tuning down and sounding hollow. I just crank it up again...oh well. Summer we miss you!!!

Well, the mule skins are on the bongos but the bad news is the skins were to thick and I couldn't get the rings down over the rims no matter what I did. I tightened down two of the four pully's on...

This was my setup and then I sold them and went with the congas.

I liked the build up around 1:50 then the drum came in and it seemed that everyone relaxed after that.

I have a Matador Bongo and I think they are way to heavy :confused:... so they are on...

So it's ok to re-soak the buffalo in water and re-do it? I just thought I heard that to much water exposure isn't good for the skin maybe that is wrong information?

I play along to CDs. I play too Santana, Poncho Sanchez and other Latin Jazz music. The bongos just received heads so they are new to the set up. I have no sound effects. Take care...
