    Mine are both 16 inches.
    A custom 16in on the left and an xs20 16 in medium thin crash on the right.
    The a custom is a brilliant cymbal with medium thickness so it is brighter and higher pitched...

    I can't say from experience because I have only used felt beaters but what I think is even though felt beaters are soft-ish, they create more friction than wooden...
