I get how you feel. It's only sometimes that the slowness occurs for me though.

What's a key hole??
Thanks guys.
But in Japan, there aren't as much used gear circulating around compared to the US so it's really hard to find good deals.
I just checked used GC and I found 13in hhx groove hats for...
I was planning on buying the used 13in mastersounds but someone else bought them before me.
I found a used pair of A Custom 13in hi hats for about $170 though and they seem like they are in really...
Mine are both 16 inches.
A custom 16in on the left and an xs20 16 in medium thin crash on the right.
The a custom is a brilliant cymbal with medium thickness so it is brighter and higher pitched...
When you say sticker, you mean the bar code sticker on the bottom right?
If so, I peel those off so I don't think it's that...
haha that's funny.
I'm not a hard hitter though and my cymbals aren't bent in any way.
Alright, so the two crashes I have, the 16in A Custom crash and the 16in medium thin XS20 crash, like to be hit in the same spot. I try to spin it around 180 degrees once in a while but it spins back...
Holy crap :what: I had no idea you lived in Santa Clara.
I used to live in Palo Alto but I moved like a year ago to go to high school in Japan.
I can tune my snare alright but I can never get it to sound like poppy like a hip hop snare.
I know you are supposed to tune the batter tight but I just end up choking it and it's really...
I would buy from from there if I was in the US but I live in Japan
thanks guys :icon_mrgreen:
Hi guys,
I found a used pair of 13in A Custom Mastersound Hi Hats for about 190 bucks.
I've wanted to get 13in hihats for a pretty long time now and I think these sound great from the sound clips...
oh ok, I`ll look into that. thanks.
Is that for double bass and metal drumming??
Because I play single pedal
Alright, so I want to be able to keep a constant bass pattern when I`m doing fills and complicated things on the hi-hat. (By constant, I don't mean like hitting the bass drum at 1 and 3 or easy stuff...
Do you guys think these might reduce sympathetic buzz?
Thanks guys. :icon_mrgreen:
xsabers: Thanks for that link. I think I'm going to get the Puresound 20 strand metrix. Is that ok??
Ok, so I`ve had the wires the came with my snare for about 2 years now and they are pretty stretched out and uneven.
1) How often should snare wires be replaced?
2) What brand of snare wires...
I think I'm with Dante on this one.
I can't say from experience because I have only used felt beaters but what I think is even though felt beaters are soft-ish, they create more friction than wooden...
thanks guys :icon_mrgreen:
PB: whenever I do stuff like this, I just go to the hardware store and think it out there because even if I do think it through before, not everything is going to go as...
Just thought I'd share what I built
I just want to start off by saying that decided to build this my self because making things is fun for me. It's like a hobby just like drumming.
It's not the...
Yeah, it's hitting square to the head and yeah I have a remo patch on there.
I still want to know which one is more abusive though..
Thanks guys. I saw a post on here like a while ago saying wooden beaters don't do as much damage as a felt one because they're smoother. I kinda agree with this though because the felt is kinda like...
Do wooden beaters wear out bass batter heads faster than felt beaters?
