Hopefully you can just recalibrate it?
Wow thanks for the comments.
That is our own material we were jamming around stuff which has since been formed into tracks. 32ndHeartBeat our influences are Tool, A Perfect Circle, Rage Russian...

Sexy stuff in this thread. I wish my girlfriend would buy me a snare like that.
Mixing desks are easy to understand, it's when you have to start calculating the RT60 of rooms, eliminate standing waves and resonances to try and flattent room responce things get a bit more...
I wouldn't play in a band like that if a band wants me as their drummer it's because of my playing style, sounds like they want a drum machine to me.
How did he end up as "band leader"? To me a...
Oh Dear!
A friend of mine recently sold a vintage 4 piece slingerland shell pack for £3000.
Good luck I had an Audition on Saturday, just jammed with the band for a while was quite good fun besides that fact that I was nackered and they want me to keep playing with them woooo

Nice. Take the stickers off.
Vintage 18" "A" Zildjian Thin Crash. Never heard such a crashy crash before.
Sounds like a cool song listening to your stuff on myspace now, I like it.
In noticed those cymbals sound nice and crisp. Cool kit.
Good Luck!

As said you sound solid for someone whose been playing two months! Nice little riff tune there.
My advise is to learn how to tune drums well early, a great sounding kit will help keep you ahead of...
Dunno i don't listen to metallica.
Sounds a bit obsessive to me drums are for playing not looking at. Each to their own tho :P
A trick we use in studios to get a nice top end click on the bass drum sound is to tape a large coin to the bd skin where the beater hits it.
As said above mic type and placement can have a huge...
I tend to boost the treble and bass slightly and cut out some mid to get a good bass drum sound.
Actually the Zild ZBT hi hats have a very clear cutting "chick" they sound pretty good for the money. Not much other body in them tho.
