    18x16 Crystal Beat

I ordered a 18"x16" Frosted Floor Tom. I was told that everything Crystal Beat is on backorder and that I probably wouldn't get it till December.

    I would rather have 16"x16" and 18"x16"...

I watched it from Liberty State Park.

I would have made "shock and awe" look like 2 kids with firecrackers.

"tamboras were made from salvaged rum barrels."

    Re: Black Drummers - Tuning

That will be $4.95 for the laugh.

"His tuning doesn't sound too particular in any one direction from the videos I've watched."

I always thought that he should have gone...

Re: Any suggestions on a new kit?

Being as drum tuning is such a personal preference, how 1 person hears them and thinks they sound great, another person might think
they sound like **** (that's poop for those of you that don't...

    Re: Another crazy 2020 anomaly

Brian, that also applies to my 2nd marriage. She was OCD squared.

Re: Any suggestions on a new kit?

I'm just throwing this out there.

You might consider looking at Pearls Crystal Beats. They are Acrylic seamless drums that I find interesting.

They had been used in a clinic and were off-sized...

    Re: Black Drummers - Tuning

I don't live in my basement Zack, at least not yet.

Being as I'm not a church goer, why should anyone think that I should have heard of 'Gospel Chops" let alone have any interest in them.

    "When...
  16. Re: They claim John Bonham never practiced. I doubt it

Re: How To Know You're a Bad Drummer

You don't have to know if you are a good or bad drummer.

If you are good, you are playing gigs.

If you are bad, you will be told soon enough.

  20. Re: Just ordered the new Speed King pedal

When I bought the 1 mentioned above, I put it on my drums and realized that you can never go home again.
  21. Re: Just ordered the new Speed King pedal

I have 1 that I bought about 4-5 years ago. It was rebuilt with new bearings, the heel plate doesn't move, and it doesn't squeak.

My job now is to find the damn thing.

I tune mine to Bolero with a touch of 2001 thrown in for good measure.

I also tune from the middle up.
