Haha indeed! Guess I should update that ancient signature! Ive been looking at the new Mapex Mars kit in white with black hardware. I would love to find a used Saturn or Orion kit though.
Sweet! sounds like an awesome setup. Going to be setting up mine real soon as well. Looking forward to the pics!
Haha, thanks for the welcome back! I miss this place.
Thanks, im so glad to be getting back into it. right as I was selling my stuff in 09 Mapex looked to be making some major progress putting out some killer stuff. Mapex is def my first choice.
Its been far too long (5 years) guys! Had a lot of life changes back in 2009, had to sell all my drum stuff :( and have moved around a lot since then. Finally got things settled and back to normal...
Sad to see another great musician leave us too soon. R.I.P.!
Evans E-mad2 for the batter with a emad or powerstroke 3 reso head gives any bass drum an incredible sound and feel. The bass drum on my saturn almost sounds mic'd with that combo.
Billy Mays is a Legend and was a genuinely good guy, was very sad to hear this. RIP
I dont think you can go wrong with Mapex. Ive owned a couple kits now and have only good things to say about Mapex, i really think you would be getting the most for your money going with the Merdian...
Im not singleing anyone out here, just the general vibe of the thread is bashing. I do agree that the kit is way overpriced and not that great, but i also wouldnt buy a signature kit of any brand. As...
Wow, not used to seeing this much bashing on this site. So the drums are mediocre and the recording was poorly done. If you were paid to say "hey these drums are good, get them" you would too and you...
Nice one!
Ive been thinking of getting the morgan rose snare since its so crisp sounding and would match my drums well.
I love the feel of the powerglides personally, im no speed demon on doubles but they never have an issue keeping up haha. I just like the powerful feel of the kick you get with them and the...
If you are looking for that hard rock/metal sound i would say the starclassic B/B. If you notice most metal drummer using tama drums play those because they have that deep, punchy metal sound without...
Although its not common i found my saturn set in a pawn shop. Something told me to go pawnshopping one day ( i never go haha) and found it sitting there for $350!
Nice job man!
Yeah that sucks, i went to a show in New Orleans last sept. and they played it, they played it for us this time also.
Thats what i have, i know Dustin has saturns also.
well my friend took those pics with his phone. I told him to get some drum shots but they were all really blurry.
Rush-Tom Sawyer, i loved that song growing up and always loved the drum solo in it. I would always go to my uncles and play his drums wishing i could play that haha. The other main thing that made me...

Sevendust came to LSU last night. It was the third time ive seem them play, they are awesome everytime. Morgan Rose never dissappoints with his amazing drumming either.

I started on a single pedal and actually used to practice non-stop doing double strokes on the single to get that sound. Once i got a double pedal i could not play it at all, it seemed like forever...
