Wow! And Wow! .... I love this! So clean, so tasteful. His tom sound and some of his fills reminds me of Tony Williams.

    Re: Opinion on Pearl Drums?.

Man, I like that faded blue sparkle!

Regarding the long tubes on Pearls, I would just hacksaw mine off. I did that a few times over the years. Probably detracts a bit from resell value but it was...

    Re: Concert Tom Versatility

Hi Paul and welcome to our drumchat family! You could use them for some types of jazz like progressive jazz or fusion. I don't think they would fit in with standard swing or bebop.

    Re: Johnny Kirkwood

Very nice solo. The music was too dated for my taste but I love his playing. That groove after the solo is killer!

    Re: Funky drum groove

That's you? Wow, great drumming! The lack of stronger definition in your cymbals suggest you play a lot of jazz? Small combo gigs? When I was playing quieter jazz rooms, I was always in search of...

Love that rosewood. It's wood all the way for me. I've had brass and chrome in the past but always come back to wood snares.
