Mini, I think hes meaning like just glow in the dark, and I dont think he would be using a black light =\ well..It would be sort of cool to line your drums with a adjustable black light..and then...

I think he means reverse psychology, but I think the best thing to do is just try and start talking about how committed to playing drums and trying to learn new things...

Haha, I am having the same problem, I am just working on doing rudiments and rolls and such like that.. Since I have started, I have already noticed a increase in my hand speed..

Oh and...

I prefer Wooden tips to nylon, I just like them and just prefer them more I guess..I use 5A Drumsticks though. I just find them easier to control I guess..
