    i have a beautiful 8x13 keller maple TREEHOUSE custom snare with tube lugs and trick throw. it is fantastic. however not any better "quallity" over any of my other high end factory snares.

    ONE SNARE TO RULE THEM ALL! A pearl brass free floater is my do it all snare...and for 600 bux you can get one and a switch out maple shell. i also agree with those that say the good ol 6" ludwig...

    some killer snares. still wondering what stock head that is on the steel ref. pro-tones are stock on lower lines not ref, masterworks and masters, and it is def not an ambassador. i think pearl makes...

    i have to agree with johnny ringo that bearing edges, heads and tuning have more to do with good sound than anything. i personally prefer triple flanged hoops on thin shells as i think they create...
