    Dave0549 mentions computer speakers with subwoofer. Would that be sufficient to play to recorded music and have the drums hooked up, without creating too much distortion? I am still trying to decide...

    The live audio technician recommended the Yamaha Stagepas Series, probably the 500 over either the Roland PM-30, or the Yamaha MS-100DR. Very portable and powerful for gigs up to 200 people.

    The Yamaha DTX 900 OR 950K, with silicone skins are the closest you will come to acoustic. They are also the lowest in noise but not in price. Around $5K - $6K.

    Thanks! Would that be true of all Roland vs Pearl? I am also wondeing if the ePro will be noisier. The cymbals definitely look like they would make more noise. I will listn to the demo on each site.
