I'm at 112.5hz batter and 143.5 reso on my 16" Resonator floor tom, which puts it at D2. EC2s on top,EC reso on bottom.
I've gone years without anything new coming in but this past year I've somehow managed to replace all of my hardware, bought an 18" crash,a snare,a throne, full set of EC2's/Emad2 inc. resos, and...
I downloaded a drum tuning app and used it to see how far out my tuning by ear actually was.
I was quite pleased that most of my lugs were less than a couple of hz of each other, but the difference...
That is a thing of beauty.

Apologies for missing this, I've completed the initiation though!

What type of Drums do you play?Premier Resonator.
Who is your Favorite Drummer? Nicko McBrain...
Managed to pick up a used Premier cymbal stand this week. Double braced with a disappearing boom. It's in need of a good clean and polish but will fit in nicely with what I've currently got.
I'd...
To my dearest Bish,
This whole lockdown business has really put things into perspective for me,as well as reigniting old, long forgotten desire.
Your tender words have inspired many sensual moments...
A big full on ringy metal one please.
I've left the liners in my toms but had to remove the one in the bass drum as I just couldn't get a sound I was happy with when it was in. Taking the liners out of a Resonator essentially turns them...
Mine are black, and a bit of a mongrel set as the bd is a laquered black shadow and the toms are wrapped. I've never taken the tom wrap off so they could also be laquered?
Cheers. I might get one just to see how it blends in with my others. Hopefully soon we'll be able to get back to playing and then I can find out if my new XS can live with my AAX's.
I'd have hoped so to.
I must admit that I would've preferred a medium/ thin but the rock crash turned up at a price I was happy to gamble on,so I went for it.
I've been looking at the xs14" crash as an alternative to the...
Thank you very much, it's appreciated.
Hi,Is it possible to have my profile name edited,as I've somehow managed to put it all in higher case, and even though my hearing is pretty shot,I don't like shouting! TUBTHUMPER to Tubthumper would...
Am I close yet?
Thanks for the reply. I've gone ahead and bought one but can't compare them with my AAX's yet as they are over at our rehearsal room.
Hopefully we'll be allowed to rehearse again soon and then I'll...
Although nowhere near as severe as your injuries,I snapped the Achilles tendon in my right foot last year and spent 3 months in a mobility scooter and on crutches, which put a stop to any drumming...
Your xpk could well be a black shadow,as mine look almost purple in certain lights. It's down to the laquer, which took a number of days to apply by all accounts.
The drum is birch and I use an Emad 2 batter ( with the small ring in) and a Remad reso. Inside is an Evans eq pad and I've currently got the Resonator liner taken out as I just couldn't get a sound...
Thanks for the reply. The ones on it at the moment have really decent chroming, much like the rest of the kit to be fair, and I'm told Premier used the same chromers as Rolls Royce back in the 1980's....
I've got a 24" Resonator black shadow bass drum which has metal hoops. I'm told that they would've come from the factory with wooden ones but can't find a definitive answer?
I've been offered some...
I bet that looks great under stage lights.
