I use the Drumtune Pro app on my phone. Tried quite a few variations but those frequencies seem to be where that particular drum sounds good to my old ears.

Your xpk could well be a black shadow,as mine look almost purple in certain lights. It's down to the laquer, which took a number of days to apply by all accounts.
