    Re: Remote hi-hat with e-drums

    Update.

Bought a used DW-9000 remote hi hat.
    It's solid. Hi-hat rod doesn't spin. Perfect.

    DW rocks!

    Re: Remote hi-hat with e-drums

Remote speedy hat (they don't make them anymore).

I also asked a guy who owns Pearl RH2000 to check his - he said the rod spins freely as well.

    Thanks.

Re: I went to see a band yesterday

All true, but an acoustic set, even small has limitations.
For example, we have a gig coming up at a place with stone walls, very high vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors.
We did a dry run with...

    Question on TD-12 programming

Just bought a used Roland TD-12 kit - like it a lot so far.

Wondering if there is a quick "how to" guide somewhere on this forum?

I just want basic stuff - how to create a list of custom drum...

    Re: E kit advice

Before spending couple or more hundred bucks, I would recommend trying drum mufflers like this:

Using only one in ear monitor.

I just read an article claiming that using only one in ear monitor is a very bad thing for your hearing.
I play with Shure SE315 earphones.
I only need a metronome, so figured there was no need to...

    very good point

I have an ongoing argument with my band about this.
We are a garage band, playing covers.

Very good lesson, thanks a lot.

Would you be able to show us how you think this method could be applied in a groove on a real kit as part of lesson 2?
